Not everyone can be a lawyer.  I am at peace with that. Nonetheless, everyone can have some knowledge of how to protect software.  The pages in this section of The Software Intellectual Property Report are written for those who have found their calling outside the law but within the realm of software. My goal is to provide the basic framework for protecting intellectual property embodied in software. This section of The SWIP Report will continue to grow.  For now, here are links to pages that discuss some of the basics regarding software and patents, copyrights, licensing, and software development.
